The podcast Entre Nós e o Infinito (Between Us and Infinity) is a science communication initiative led by CNC-UC dedicated to space research. Over 12 episodes, the podcast aims to illustrate the interdisciplinary nature of space research carried out at the University of Coimbra (UC).

Released monthly between January and December 2026, the episodes of Entre Nós e o Infinito are hosted by the general and programming director of Teatro Académico de Gil Vicente (TAGV), Sílvio Correia Santos.

Each episode is recorded live on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the TAGV cafeteria. Attendance is free, and episodes are available on Spotify on the third Wednesday of each month.

The episodes will cover areas such as space law and public policy, economics and innovation, security and geopolitics, aerospace health and medicine, astrophysical engineering, artificial intelligence, among others. The project aims to bring these topics to public debate, expanding the social impact of space research developed at UC.

Through a combination of scientific rigor and accessible communication, the Entre Nós e o Infinito podcast aims to contribute to the strengthening of scientific culture and to the affirmation of Portugal as a relevant player in the field of space at an international level.

The project is aimed at a wide audience, including students, teachers, researchers, professionals in the space sector, and citizens interested in science, promoting dialogue between academia and society.

This podcast aims to make the excellent research carried out at UC accessible to the general public, stimulate interest in space-related topics, and enhance the role of UC as a leading institution in the production of advanced knowledge in this area.

The Entre Nós e o Infinito podcast was recognized by the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research of the UC (iiiUC) as one of the five best projects for the Promotion of Scientific Culture in 2025. The initiative is led by the coordinator of the CNC-UC Technology Transfer Office, Catarina Cunha Santos, in close collaboration with TAGV, and has the partnership of institutions such as the Institute of Astrophysics and Space Sciences, Instituto Pedro Nunes, and Geophysical and Astronomical Observatory of the UC.
