After the success of the 1st edition, the Technology Transfer Office of CNC is preparing a new edition of the program BioSTART!

BioSTART is part of the BiotechSTARS project. This project promotes bio entrepreneurship through ideation, mentorship, and training programs for researchers and other stakeholders with a focus on four areas of biotechnology: health, industrial, marine, and agricultural.

It is in this context that we present you the BioSTART, a programme that aims to enable potential entrepreneurs in this area to face the challenges associated with the creation of start-ups.

Weekly workload: 4 hours - 2 sessions/week

Total: 16 hours (8 sessions)

Schedule: Tuesdays and Thursdays between 8h30-10h30

Local: Hybrid System - 5 online sessions and 3 in-person sessions

Venue for in-person sessions: Student Hub Auditorium - Universidade de Coimbra, Pólo I, Rua Larga, Faculdade de Medicina, Piso 0

Online venue: To be announced

Vacancies: 40

Registration for this programme is free but obligatory and open until December 27th, by completing this form.

Conditions for access:

• Development area in biotechnology;
• Sub-areas of development in the health, industrial, marine, or agricultural;
• Interest in setting up a company in the CENTRO region of Portugal.

Applications can be made individually or in a group, being always mandatory the individual registration of each element.
