I am a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and Disease from the Center for Neuroscience and Cell Biology (CNC), University of Coimbra, with an MSc background in Biological Engineering for Chemical and Food Technology from the Centre of Biological Engineering, University of Minho. After completing my MSc work at Instituto Nacional de Saúde Doutor Ricardo Jorge (Porto) in 2011, I worked for one year as a research fellow in this institute in a project to develop a commercial test for intradermic reaction detection in hosts. Then, I moved to CNC as a BEB Ph.D. student. The goal of my project was to understand social hierarchies in the context of social adversity. In 2018, I moved to Take The Wind, a software company focused on virtual medical cases to improve clinical reasoning. I was part of the scientific team for two years. In 2020, I returned to CNC, where I am working as a fundraising and project manager. I never lose my passion for science, to explore the challenges of science and healthcare, and I am always prompt to innovate and be innovated, surprise, and be surprised.
