The event

The 18th edition of the PDBEB symposium organized by the Doctoral Programme in Experimental Biology and Biomedicine (PDBEB) students, from the Institute of Interdisciplinary Research, University of Coimbra, will take place on the 15th and 16th of May 2024 at the Pavilhão Centro de Portugal. 

Under the theme “(Not) Knowing What Comes Next: Tools for the Research of Tomorrow”, this edition is divided into two days. The first day is dedicated to Tech Tools and the second to the Impact on Society.

How to register

Attendance is free but requires mandatory registration until 30th April 2024, here.

Registration includes: 

• Access to the talks
• Access to the poster sections
• Lunches
• Coffee breaks 

Registration does not include: 

• Gala Dinner on May 16th. To guarantee your presence, a 5 € attendance fee is required. More information will be provided soon. 

How to submit the abstract

Abstract submission is open until April 30th 2024 and must be submitted via email: bebstudents2023@gmail.com. 

After evaluation by a jury, 6 abstracts will be selected for oral presentation and the remaining participants that submitted an abstract will be eligible to present a poster.

2000 characters maximum (including spaces);
