The Center for Neurosciences and Cell Biology of the University of Coimbra (CNC-UC ) will organize the “INNOTECH2022 – CNC Technology Showcase ”, an event that aims to promote the services and technological infrastructure of this research center at the University of Coimbra with potential partners, to foster new strategic partnerships in the Center region.

The initiative will take place on November 28, at UC- Biotech , in Cantanhede, and integrates the activities that have been promoted within the scope of BiotechSTARS, a program to support bioentrepreneurship in the Centro Region (funded by the Operational Program for the Centro - Centro Region 2020) which is coordinated by the CNC-UC Technology Transfer Office. Applications for “INNOTECH2022 – CNC Technology Showcase ” are free and run until the 21st of November at https://cnc.uc.pt/pt/innotech2022-cnc-technology-showcase.

During the morning, there will be a presentation of CNC-UC's services and technological infrastructure, as well as networking activities. The afternoon program will focus on visiting the technological structures (subject to prior appointment, through the registration form) in the different centers of the CNC-UC (UC- Biotech, in Cantanhede, and in Pole I and Pole III of the University of Coimbra).

«INNOTECH2022 aims to boost communication between the CNC-UC and the stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem of the Center region, in order not only to promote the technological infrastructures and services that the CNC-UC has, but also to promote a debate on the development technology in the region», explain Luís Pereira de Almeida, president of CNC-UC. «Although CNC-UC focuses its research in the areas of biomedicine and biotechnology, this event opens doors to all types of partners and industrial areas that are interested in the platforms we have available», he adds.
